Where to come
Letting yourself in
Maison Medina uses self check-in with electronic locks. There's no key to collect and no reception desk to catch before it closes. You can arrive at any hour.
Your code
Your PIN code arrives by email once your online check-in is complete, or in the custom website/app where you did your booking. This is not optional: registration is a legal requirement in Malta, and the code cannot be issued until it's done.
The same code opens the main door and your room.
How to use the lock
- Press * to wake the lock
- Type your PIN
- Press #
The lock will release. If nothing happens, press * again and re-enter the code slowly. The keypad occasionally misses a quick tap.
Check-in from 2:00 PM
Rooms are ready from 2:00 PM.
Arriving from 2:00 PM onwards?
There won't be anyone at reception. Go straight to your room using your PIN, no need to wait or check in with anyone.
Arriving earlier?
Please do. You're very welcome to come straight from the airport, leave your luggage with us, and go and explore Mdina. There's no charge for this.
And if your room happens to be ready before 2:00 PM, you're welcome to go straight in. Housekeeping works through the morning, so it's often possible. We just can't promise it in advance.
Arriving late at night?
No problem at all. The electronic lock works at any hour and your code will already be live. Just let us know roughly when to expect you, so we're not wondering.
Your first 10 minutes
A short list to settle in:
- Wi-Fi, network Maison Medina Wifi, password *maisonmedina*
- Air conditioning, the remote is in the room; it both cools and heats
- Breakfast is 7:30 to 10:30 AM, in the breakfast area, if it's included in your booking
- The rooftop terrace, sunbeds, hot tub, and the best view in the house. Go up

- Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Sound carries in old stone houses
